“YASMEEN* is a Dallas–Fort Worth-based Afghan American pop and R&B singer-songwriter known for balancing a unique dual career as an "engineer by day and singer by night."”

— Voyage Dallas

YASMEEN* is a Dallas-based Afghan American alternative indie-pop artist who balances two distinct worlds, working as an engineer by day and commanding the stage by night. Backed by her 6-piece band, The Daydreams, she delivers a pop-leaning funk sound heavily influenced by early 2000s R&B, 3-part vocal harmonies, and has influences by artists like Snoh Aalegra, Lake Street Dive, and Pharrell Williams.

From intimate acoustic sets to high-energy, packed venues, YASMEEN* & The Daydreams have become a staple of the North Texas music community. They have performed at DFW hotspots including the House of Blues Dallas, State Fair of Texas, FoodieLand, Spinster Records, AMFM Dallas, Three Links Deep Ellum, Club Dada, The Free Man, Armoury D.E., and more.

YASMEEN* continues to redefine the boundaries of a modern Middle Eastern, independent artist.
